The lavender variety 'Avice Hill' is a lavandula angustifolia.
Lavandula angustifolia (otherwise known as English Lavender) is the lavender essential oil favoured by aromatherapists and herbalists as it is the most therapeutic lavender essential oil. It is the lavender essential oil used by the cosmetic industry in skin care products for the face.
L. angustifolia variety 'Avice Hill' is more expensive than the 'Grosso' essential oil as the plant is smaller and therefore does not give such a high yield.
The oil has notes of musk, honey, pepper, and wood. These are one of the three Angustifolia varieties we planted specifically because they are well known for their therapeutic properties.
